How to Understand and Love All Math-Related Subjects?

What I have heard that most students really do hate math subject. Were you among those who hated playing with numbers when you were still studying? When I was in elementary and high school I have realized that I was poor on this subject. After checking my old notes I wondered how I passed algebra, trigonometry, and other mathematics-related subjects until when I was about to decide what to take up in college after my graduation in high school. My best friend told me to get civil engineering ( I took electronics and communications engineering instead) but I needed to know more about mathematics as its foundation to pass this course. I had just 3 months before I need to enroll for the tertiary education. I was still clueless that time what to take up but what I have heard that engineering work is one of the best and promising jobs after college. I started to get back from my old notes and those books from the shelves consolidated by my grandfather. Actually, I was inspired by him (my grandfather) although he just finished elementary education during his time he was able to pass pre-qualifying exam for the engineering position. It was a big slap on the face of those in a batch of examinees which mostly were engineering graduates after he was called to report next morning. My grandfather had encouraged me to read many books but I was not really into it until I started scanning some books about mathematics which I knew it is a must for engineering studies. I have started algebra and I did not notice myself that I spent hours reading an old book a day.

Algebra is the basic foundation if you want to learn and understand other number-related subjects like trigonometry, geometry, solid mensuration, calculus either differential or integral. If you do not have strong foundation of algebra then you will never learn other math subjects. I was really happy that I got used to play with numbers and I survived engineering studies. I still remember that I taught my classmates and they told me that I can explain the subject matter clearer than how our professor explained it to us. Way back to my grandfather, I tested his knowledge gained by reading lots of books even without proper education so after my graduation I got a free time to give him problems in math to be solved. I was surprised that he almost perfected the exam I gave. I used what I have learned in my formal education while he used his skills in analyzing the problems. We got the same results! It was amazing!

In order to understand math you need to love math. Theories and formulas were derived from the product of one's mind who have passion in playing with numbers. How did Pythagora get his a2 + b2 = c2 theorem? It was a product of his effort in pursuing to get the measurement of one side of the triangle in relation on the two other given sides. Eventually his theorem had been used to determine the angles of the triangle. If you are enthusiast with mathematics especially with algebra you do not have to know the formula, you only need is to know how the formula derived.

Learning mathematics is fun. You can apply in everyday life like in counting money and many more. Imagine if a bus running 80kph for 250km distance and your car was an hour late but running 160kph can you tell when will you be able to catch the bus? That's only a practical application. I remember my teacher in elementary about a song, "Math Is Fun" and I was inspired with it.

I will not leave this page without sharing how to understand and love mathematics. This is only for those who do not really excel in this subject. So all students out there that want to get an engineering, accountancy or other math-related courses the secret here is to love and understand algebra itself. Play with variables, learn about the principles and rules in transposition, cancellations, multiplication-division, subtraction-addition, rules in exponential equations, and many more. Once you get used to it the rest will just like eating peanuts for trigonometry, geometry, etc. I would like to make an e-book for those students who want to learn and enjoy mathematics and once it becomes available I will be sharing it with you.

In algebra you cannot go wrong. You can have the courage to question even your professors if they have violated some rules! So good luck enjoy math! Non-students are also welcome to enjoy this subject!

Sometimes even in our busy days at work we can still think of some simple questions and out of our curiosity we still find time to open our computer to look for the answer even before we go to sleep. Internet is what we know to find the answer immediately.

Our planet and the rest in the solar system show several different lines of evidence that they are about 4.55 billion years old (+-1%) but human being only started to live 2 million years ago. As of today population is nearly reaching up to 7 billion. In reality within this long period of existence of human beings it can still be considered that the rate is very slow. Other factors that affect the population to grow faster were during war times, pandemics, and poor medicines in the past years. Now, it is expected to grow quickly because most of the factors are out of the picture.

Have you burst out because you get intimidated or disgusted by another person? Really as human beings we could easily get mad if something will go against our way which really affects our feelings. In my experience I was easily get angry and out of impulsion I have not controlled my emotion. It is in my nature that if anyone that made something wrong or unfair treatment to me or to another person that I knew I will surely react and burst out. I would consider that I was so unsuccessful after so many attempt to control my hatred.

If you win yourself over the enemy then you will become successful! The worst enemy is within us. We need to control our emotions. I always put myself in a bad situation every time I react out of my anger. There are some anger management school but why you go to school to overcome this uncontrollable emotion out of anger?

Here are some tips which made me more calm and better in controlling my anger:

1. Golden rule. Love others as you love yourself.
2. Always think about respecting others rights and always put yourself on their shoes. Why they have done it? What are their intentions? If I were on their position will I do the same for my sake?
3. Do not talk. It would be better to make no reaction at all than to utter bad words or reactions.
4.Buy some time before making your next move. By buying some time,it will have the less chance of making a bad decision.When dealing with business or anything be sure that the words that you may have committed will not go against you before you release your judgment or decision.
5. Think before you react. Make a comprehension and analysis always.You maybe wrong? Do not just rely on the judgment of others. Make a study if necessary.
6. If you have verified that the person has made wrong against you, you should always be diplomatic. After your own comprehension ask them why they have done unfair things to you.
7.It is not bad to be angry on person. As individuals and human-beings that have our own emotions we have different level of resistance in anger. Do not throw back to the person who is angry at you instead do not make any reaction at all if it would be best. Always be prepared to defend yourself if you might be in a risky situation. Be aware from the person who is also angry at you on how he or she handles the hatred.
8.Calm down, do not utter words, do not react and go home. Do not react if you are angry to a person. As what I have said buy some time and go home. If you cannot control your anger then release it in your own way by not hurting the person.

Different countries have different cultures and cultures will tell how a man court a woman. In other countries like Japan they are known that during Valentine's day the ladies are the ones who give flowers to the gentlemen. How I wish I am in Japan. Quite strange but for them it is their culture.In return after a month the Japanese guys will give flowers or white chocolates to the ladies.

In other parts of Asia ladies are still conservative and they are being courted by the gentlemen by sending off gifts such as chocolates, and flowers as common gifts especially during February 14.
